Why not join the Digital Anthropology Lab in our inaugural PhD program in partnership with Studio Wayne Macgregor, London College of Fashion, UAL. We have created this program as an experimental play space in partnership with Studio Wayne Magregor to allow us to explore the way in which the nature of the moving body may be allowed to inhabit multiple dimensions, in multiple locations using a unique hybrid of traditional making, digital visualization including AR and VR to create performative, immersive experiences of the future. Deadline 11th April- see link here;
The recent launch of LCF’s Digital Anthropology Lab (DALab) and Studio Wayne McGregor’s science and technology interests with the body as core, inform the purpose of this PhD opportunity. PhD applicants are invited to fully consider the potential synergies of a Wayne McGregor and LCF/DALab partnership. This PhD Scholarship Partnership opportunity invites innovative proposals that span research into visioneering digital anthropological approaches to creative and digital performance practice and culture that may also have as focal points: materials technology; virtual and augmented reality; body scanning; wearable technology and new media; digital performance costume and footwear; makeup and prosthetics.
